Have you been waiting, wistfully, looking forward to the day of the show? It's been hard to be away so long! About 4 months to be exact. You've probably been dreaming of scoring that awesome vintage piece to add to your collection, or holding out for a beautiful hand finished shabby chic style piece of furniture to add pop to your home. You've suffered through the heat this summer, sitting somberly by the window of your airconditioned Florida home, longing for fall to arrive! I know I have! The heat may not be completely gone, but October is on our doorstep, and your doorstep needs some cool vintage inspired decorations! Bring on the pumpkins, bring on the black cats! We are going to DO this! It may not feel like Halloween is near, but we can make it look like it!
Come on out THIS SATURDAY from 9-4 at the Martin Co. Fairgrounds and partake in the awesomeness of the Fall Funky Art & Vintage Mart! The wait is finally over! Now....grab your shopping buddy and pencil it in, stat!

Welcome back Megan McCook of Local Commotion!
It's officially less than a week until the show now! Three month flew by so fast! I'll be sharing a few more vendors this week on the blog, but there are many more to be seen at the show. Remember, it runs from 9-4, so if you can't make it in the morning, or have an afternoon engagement, you can stop on by during the time that works best for you. Of course, so of the best goodies always sell right away, BUT, everyone has different taste and collect different items and styles, so you are sure to find SOMETHING to take home with you know matter what time you can make it!
Today's vendor, Megan McCook of Local Commotion, joined us at the last show. She sells original canvas paintings, wood mermaids, batiks, garden art, wearable clothing (all original works), and has one of the happiest looking booths out there. She loves color, and you can see that in her vibrant artwork. I love the painting of the turtle in the picture below. I have a soft spot for turtles. ( :
So, welcome back Megan! Find her in the open air barn on Saturday...just look for the happy colors!

Today's featured vendor: Little Shoppe of Hodge Podge
Happy Thursday! Sorry for the space between posts, but my computer kept getting "stuck" when trying to open the website where my vendor's applications and pictures are saved. It finally decided to work this morning!
Today's vendor was with us at the last show, and is joining us again. "The Little Shoppe of Hodge Podge" consists of Rebecca Dima and her mother, Marilyn. They will be offering an assortment of hand crafted jewelry made from book pages, re-purposed items, vintage/antiques, hand crafted holiday items, primitives and hand crafted wood work items...That's why we are the Little Shoppe of Hodge Podge :) Stop by and see if Rebecca has some cute jewelry featuring your favorite book quote (she has Outlander, Dr. Who, Harry Potter, Star Wars, Sense & Sensibility, Pride & Prejudice, Wicked, and more!). Marilyn is sure to have some adorable home decor items with a hand-made touch. They will be under the covered open-air barn. Welcome back, ladies!

New Featured Vendor....Barbara Swift Beads & Jewelry
Hello lovers of vintage, art, and all things FUNKY! I am please to announce another new vendor, and our first lampwork artist. I have to say, that I have a soft spot for lampwork beads, as I made them for four years, but quit when we moved to Florida. I LOVE the magical properties of glass...the way it catches light, the way it can be sculpted, etc. Lampwork beads are hand made using a torch and various colors of glass rods that are melted in the flame and carefully, meticulously coaxed into various shapes and decorated. It is an art that takes a lot of practice and skill.
Today's vendor is Barbara Swift. She hand makes her own glass beads & her husband is a silversmith. They create their our own jewelry and wearables. They also tool and lace their our own leather. I am excited to see what they bring to the show, and judging by these pictures, I am sure their work will be breathtaking. Welcome to the show!
