Today's featured vendor is Lauren Garcia of Pandagoldfish

Lauren is a friend of mine, and was unable to do the last show. She is joining us this time, and I am thrilled! She is self-taught and does beautiful work in embroidery, wool felting, and other needlework arts. The detail in each piece she does is amazing, and you HAVE to see it in person! She loves making unique brooches, pins, ornaments, and dog bow ties. She also likes making small art plushes out of wool felt and embroidering them and embroidery hoop art. Her booth is down the center row in the open air barn. Be sure to stop by, say hello, and pick out a little handmade treasure to take home with you!

Today's featured vendor is Christine Fitzgerald of Christine's Coastal Treasures

Christine Fitzgerald joined us at the last show, and her booth was chock full of vintage goodies, coastal home decor, and lovely handpainted vintage furniture! I have no doubt that she will wow us again at the September show. She'll have some special pieces saved just for the show, like many other vendors will, so make sure you come out to the fairground so you don't miss out! She will be selling from 2 large spaces inside the building that is between two alcoves that will also be filled with vendors. As the show grew, the open air barn was filled and some new areas for vendors was added. Welcome back to the show, Christine! So glad you can join us again!

Joining us again are Valerie & Jason of Old Soul Designs and Covert Furnishings!

Valerie and Jason joined us at the last show and brought some really fabulous pieces!  This time, Jason will also be adding his handmade furniture line, Covert Furnishings, which features small furniture pieces with hidden compartments. Here is a short bio on this lovely creative team, from their website:
"OLD SOUL DESIGNS WAS FOUNDED IN 2012 BY VALERIE WHILE JASON WAS DEPLOYED TO AFGHANISTAN.  IT STARTED AS A "TIME KILLER" TAKING HER MIND OF JASON BEING GONE.  FRIENDS AND FAMILY STARTING ASKING FOR WORK TO BE DONE, AND THEN THEY STARTED REFERRING MORE PEOPLE.  JASON RETURNED HOME AND EXITED THE MILITARY AFTER 12 YEARS OF SERVICE TO JOIN VALERIE IN THE ENDEAVOR OF A FAMILY BUSINESS.  OUR MILITARY EXPERIENCE AND ETHICS HAVE TRANSITIONED INTO OUR BUSINESS. WE TAKE GREAT PRIDE IN OUR ATTENTION TO DETAIL AND CUSTOMER SATISFACTION."
Welcome back to the show! We are excited to see what goodies you will have this time!

Introducing Denise Benson of Nises 2 Pieces

One of the great blessings of starting the Funky Art & Vintage Mart, has been discovering all the fabulous artists right here in our local community. Denise Benson lives right here where I do, Port St. Lucie, and I could have run into her on any given day while I was out shopping for art supplies and never met her if it weren't for the show. I fell in love with her work the moment I got her application in! Denise loves vintage goodies and making whimsical art art.  She lives by the theme of "Create~Covet~ Collect"!
Currently, she has a fun collection of earrings and necklaces from repurposed-comic book pages.  They are highly detailed on all sides of special, hand assembled alter box styled bases and finished with high quality protective glaze.
She also has  a line of  Art Dolls that originate from recycled  bottles before blooming into paper clay creations.  They have various hand built details to make you laugh and smile. She will also have some lovely vintage linens, books, and more.  Be sure to stop by her booth in the barn and check out her one of  a kind mixed media pieces. I know she will have some fun treasures to make your own! Welcome to the show Denise!

Fall may seem a long way away, but with August fast approaching, it is standing on our doorstep! The Fall Funky Art & Vintage Mart is coming up on Saturday, Sept 20th, from 9-4 at the same location as the last one...The Martin County Fairground. I've added some more space for this one, and we already have a great number of returning and new vendors! Our artists & crafters are busy creating unique, fun pieces sure to delight our shoppers, and our vintage & antique vendors are hard at work finding and/or re-purpose/refinishing exciting finds that are shabby chic, beach cottage style, rusty & industrial, primitive,  mid-century retro, quirky, and fun! They'll have something for everyone!  So, mark the date on your calendars and spend it shopping with us! Entrance and parking are FREE, we'll have yummy food, and it will be a great day to start picking out some autumn & Halloween decor for your homes. Please check back for special vendor spotlights!
